NSF CAREER Award for Just-in-Time Adaptive Interventions
Published on
We are thrilled to share that our lab has received the National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER award to support our research on designing intelligent, context-aware systems for digital health interventions.
The project will advance new methods to effectively model the “context” of a person to determine the right time, right type, and right modality of support for mental and behavioral health—delivered through smartphones and wearables. Our goal is to improve long-term engagement with digital health tools by accounting for a person’s context (such as their activity, location, or emotional state) and optimizing intervention delivery through personalized, just-in-time adaptive interventions (JITAIs).
