Jiachen's paper receives CHI 2026 Best Paper Honorable Mention

We are excited to announce that Jiachen received the Best Paper Honorable Mention for her 2026 CHI Paper that she presented in Barcelona!
This paper was the outcome of Jiachen’s highly productive summer internship at Microsoft Research where she studied how clinicians interact with LLM-based systems for tumor board preparation, revealing critical gaps in trust calibration and highlighting how AI should be designed to support high-stakes clinical decision-making.
Jiachen is a fourth-year PhD student in Computer Science, co-advised with Prof. Beth Mynatt. Her research focuses on understanding the gap between AI capabilities and human expectations in healthcare settings, with the goal of facilitating more effective human-AI collaboration.
